Preseason NFL Football Propels NBC Ratings Win – Update

NBC won its 21st consecutive night among Big 4 broadcasters in the demo and overall audience with coverage of Atlanta Falcons-Miami Dolphins NFL preseason game. The game scored a 1.8/7 in 18-49 and 5.9 million viewers overall from 8:07-11 PM ET. NBC’s primetime scored a 1.7 and 5.9M viewers, to win its 21st consecutive night among the Big 4 in both metric, marking a new total-viewer streak in people meter history and tying the record in the demo.

CBS scored a 1.3 rating and 5.4M viewers, including the highest rated program of the night, 9 PM’s original episode of Big Brother (1.9, 6.1M). ABC (0.8, 3.4M) followed with 8 PM’s original Battlebots (0.8, 3.4M) leading its lineup. Fox’s full repeat slate (0.4, 2.2M) followed, ahead of CW (0.2, 700K).
