Here are the Premier League players to have created the most chances this season.

We’ve included the chances created in total as well as the per 90 in brackets to separate the ties. Thanks to Fotmob for the stats.

1) Bukayo Saka (Arsenal): 19 (3.2)
Last season’s Young Player of the Year has started in fine style once again. He had Destiny Udogie on toast in the north London derby after claiming assists v Manchester United and Everton.

2) Pedro Neto (Wolves): 18 (3.0)
Looks finally back to his best after a season blighted by injury. If Wolves are to survive, a lot rests on the head (well, feet) of Neto. Has four assists already.

3) Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United): 18 (3.0)
Almost single-handedly dragged Manchester United to victory over Nottingham Forest. Last year’s chance creation leader is very likely to figure very highly again in this campaign.

4) James Maddison (Tottenham): 17 (3.0)
The Premier League’s most creative player according to a different metric still ranks pretty highly here. Has four assists along with Neto and Mo Salah.

5) Kieran Trippier (Newcastle United): 17 (2.9)
Claimed three assists from five created chances in the 8-0 drubbing of Sheffield United.

6) Pascal Gross (Brighton): 16 (3.3)
Created six chances in a 4-1 defeat to West Ham as Evan Ferguson in particular had an off day. Finished fourth on this metric last season. The Seagulls have made some excellent profits on some young signings, but Gross still stands tall as one of their very best pieces of business.

7) Julian Alvarez (Manchester City): 16 (2.8)
Started all six Premier League games in the absence of Riyad Mahrez (transfer) and Kevin de Bruyne (injury) and is very much enjoying his ‘like a new signing’ season.

8Eberechi Eze (Crystal Palace): 16 (2.7)
Created a frankly ludicrous seven chances v Sheffield United on the opening weekend. Thriving in a slightly more advanced role after the arrival of Jefferson Lerma.

9) Phil Foden (Manchester City): 15 (3.2)
Has claimed three assists already this season, including in one of the individual performances of the campaign so far v Newcastle.

10) Dejan Kulusevski: 15 (2.5)
No assists this season but certainly back to the form of his initial loan spell at Spurs. Established as the right-sided option in this resurgent side.
