Pop princess Britney Spears to bring her world tour to Singapore on 30 June
For the first time, American pop star Britney Spears is bringing her world tour to Singapore, concert organiser IME Singapore announced on Wednesday (26 April).
The 35-year-old singer and dancer, famous for her songs like “Oops!… I Did It Again” and “…Baby One More Time”, will be performing live in Singapore on 30 June.
In a Facebook post, IME said additional tour details will be announced soon.
Spears appeared on “The Mickey Mouse Club” in the 90s before bursting onto the music scene with her first album in 1999, which debuted at the top of the US Billboard 200.
She would go on to be one of the top female artistes of the 2000s, though a string high-profile personal issues halted her career for a while.
Spears released her ninth album, Glory, in 2016.
Among the other stops in her 2017 world tour is Tel Aviv, which was proving to be such a draw that Israel’s Labour Party rescheduled its elections.
