Poll: What’s the Best Franchise-Starter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe?

Marvel will introduce yet another hero to its cinematic universe on Nov. 4, when the studio releases “Doctor Strange” starring Benedict Cumberbatch.

Despite being Marvel’s weirdest superhero to date, the movie has been pulling in solid reviews, with many comparing “Doctor Strange” to the first “Iron Man” movie. “Iron Man” went on to spawn a billion-dollar franchise, and heroes like Captain America and Thor have their own series as well.

It’s only natural that, if “Doctor Strange” ends up making money for the studio, more sequels starring Cumberbatch will be in the works. Before that happens, we look back at the first movies of Marvel’s biggest superheros.

Do you love the original “Iron Man,” or is Paul Rudd’s light-hearted “Ant Man” more your style? Or are you partial to another hero entirely? Weigh in below! (Note: Only the movies of Disney’s Marvel Cinematic Universe are included below, leaving movies like “Deadpool” ineligible. “The Incredible Hulk” was also left out, as it did not spawn direct sequels.)
