PLATING UP WA singapore edition

The past 2 years have been rather difficult for avid travellers like me. Destinations like Tasmania and New South Wales were easy destinations to travel to before the pandemic happened. With this festival, I can get a taste of Western Australia without having to fly there.

There will be a total of 21 restaurants and bars contributing to this special dining festival, presenting their specially curated dishes and drinks during this month-long promotion. In conjunction with its sister edition in Western Australia, never has a dining festival run concurrently in two countries at the same time.

This festival provides an insightful experience for both diners in Singapore and across Western Australia.

Each Singapore venue will showcase at least one menu item using a WA ingredient such as Margaret River wagyu, Fremantle octopus, sustainably farmed Dorper lamb, marrons, and black barley. The dishes will be featured either in the a la carte menu or as an element of a degustation presentation.

Craft beers made in Western Australia like Rocky Ridge Brewing Company’s Ace IPA, Otherside Brewery’s The Floor is Guava and well-known Margaret River wines from Moss Wood and Cullen will also be on offer.

For the month of June, diners need to collect stamps from five different venues in the Plating Up WA: Singapore Edition Passport Competition to stand a chance to win a trip for two to Perth which comes with accommodation, in a lucky draw jointly sponsored by the Government of Western Australia Singapore Office and Luxury Escapes.
