Piolo Pascual establishes indie record label
12 May – Piolo Pascual is starting a new venture with his new recording company, Just Music.
As reported on ABS-CBN, the actor recently released a statement about his new indie label, saying that it will be a space for artistes to explore their creativity while keeping their rights a top priority.
Acknowledging the fact that new artistes have a hard time finding a venue for their music, Pascual stated that he wanted to give them a platform to shine through the new label.
"When you see a lot of artistes who could potentially make a change in the scene, you want to give them that opportunity. There are a lot of new artistes and so much talent that have to be exposed, but they need a platform," he stated.
Just Music's first talents are singer-songwriters Kenji and NKO, who recently released their first singles with the label.
"When I first heard them, I knew that they had global appeal, you know they're not just mainstream songs. They have their own taste and expression in music," said Pascual.
NKO's "Langit" and Kenji's "Night and Day" are now available on digital streaming platforms.
