Pink fans praise her after she shaves off her hair

P!nk has posted a picture of herself with a buzzcut after shaving her head, with her hands full of hair.

The 40-year-old debuted her shortest hairstyle yet in an Instagram post shared with her 7.3 million followers, captioned simply: “Letting go”.

In her Instagram story, she posted a pictured of her hair on the floor, tagging her hairdresser, Pamela Neal, the artistic director at US hairdressing franchise Benjamin Salon.

Her followers have complimented her on the radical new look – including celebrity friends who have also shaved their heads.

“The most liberating!” wrote actor Kate Hudson, who shaved her head in the summer of 2017.

“Twins!!!!,” commented actor Selma Blair, who earlier this year shaved her head in anticipation of treatment for multiple sclerosis.

“You are a badass. I had to have my head buzzed when I was diagnosed with breast cancer and I loved how liberating it was,” wrote an Instagram user.

“Did it in my 20s, 30s, and 40s. One of the best feelings, but damn it gets cold! You are always looking beautiful and inspiring others to,” was a further comment.

Pink’s hair transformation over the years

P!nk, whose real name is Alecia Moore, has always sported shorter styles, coming on the music scene in 1999 with fuchsia pink hair (as per her namesake).

She had sported short hair styled in punk-esque looks over the years.

P!nk’s daughter Willow also has time for drastic hair changes.

In September this year, Willow’s father Carey Hart shared a photo of Willow pictured after getting the side of her head shaved at a salon, captioning it “loving my punk rock daughter”.

Earlier this year, over the summer, P!nk shared a video of herself dyeing Willow’s hair blue.
