Pikotaro will level up as a father this June
Previously, we found out that Pikotaro of the famed viral Pen-Pineapple-Apple-Pen song is earning more now than what we think. Now, he has announced that he will be welcoming his first child with wife Hitomi Yasueda this June!
The Japanese comedian, who is otherwise known as Daimaou Kosaka when not using his stage persona, revealed that his wife is currently about five months pregnant. The couple had been dating for around four years, before tying the knot last August.
Along with this joyous announcement, Pikotaro and wife also released a photo of their wedding ceremony, held on 8 January in Hawaii. The private wedding and the vow of forever love was attended and witnessed by 12 relatives.
Apparently, Pikotaro kept mum about the pregnancy, even to their family. When he surprised them during the wedding ceremony with this piece of good news, his father cried tears of joy.
Hawaii has been a popular venue for Japanese celebrities to hold their wedding. As it offers relatively more privacy, celebrities such as Shun Oguri and wife Yuu Yamada have chosen Hawaii to be part of this significant milestone in life. For Pikotaro, he seemed to have taken a liking towards Hawaii.
“I first visited Hawaii last year and it left a good impression. Eventually, I chose to hold the ceremony here. Being able to bring my family overseas is something I must thank Pikotaro for! It was awesome! I’m touched! Wedding is such a good thing!” Pikotaro commented excitedly.
The gender of the couple’s baby is not known yet.
