SINGAPORE – Last 21 November, we first teased Shake Shack’s possible second outlet opening when a Yahoo Lifestyle Singapore reader shared with us photos of renovation works. Shake Shack has confirmed today (4 December) that they’re opening right at Singapore’s Central Business District in a historical building at 89 Neil Road in the first quarter of 2020. The country’s second Shake Shack will focus on art and design to complement the culturally rich neighbourhood of Tanjong Pagar.

We also learned that the prominent standalone building from 1924 also has a rich history of its own and used to be the Eng Aun Tong factory where Singapore’s famous Tiger Balm was produced for close to 50 years.

Sam Lo aka Sticker Lady was commissioned to decorate the hoarding, blending Shake Shack’s icons with traditional Peranakan cultural patterns to herald the new home of the fine-casual restaurant.
