PHOTOS: Modest fashion debuts at Singapore Fashion Week

With the recent rise of modest fashion around the world, it’s not surprising to see this genre of fashion debuting at this year’s Singapore Fashion Week.

Here, we have collections by Indonesia’s Dian Pelangi and Malaysia’s Jovian Mandagie that were presented at the National Gallery’s Supreme Court Terrace on Saturday (28 October).

Both designers, who are behind leading modest fashion brands in their respective countries, showcased different visions for the Muslim woman. While Jovian combined elements of fun and urban street style with loose-fitting dresses, pants and tops, Dian played with bold prints and bright colours.
