SINGAPORE – Malaysian Teoh Ze Tong, 26, who is an assistant manager at Carousell, can now add another title under his belt: Star Search 2019 winner. Last night (3 November), Teoh emerged tops with his strong acting prowess and commanding stage presence, wowing the panel of judges comprising of Hong Kong superstars Carina Lau, Simon Yam and Stephen Fung, as well as media veteran Man Shu Sum and Mediacorp’s Chief Content Officer Doreen Neo.
23-year old Herman Keh and 17-year old Ye Jia Yun, who are Singaporean, clinched the honour of being first and second runners-up, respectively, for their stellar performances. The top trio win acting deals with Mediacorp.
Meanwhile 20-year old Vanessa Ho bagged the Samsung Galaxy: Breakthrough Award, awarded to the contestant who best exemplifies the “Do What You Can’t” spirit by showcasing their best personality and traits.
