Here’s a look at all the pieces in the Giambattista Valli x H&M Collection, available in Singapore stores on 7 Nov

SINGAPORE – The latest designer to launch a collaboration with fast fashion brand H&M is Giambattista Valli, an Italian luxury brand designer.

Many people may not have heard of this brand because it is still quite under-the-radar. But this will become history as this tie-up will showcase more of Giambattista Valli’s style to the rest of the world.

Giambattista Valli is all about making an entrance, whether it is gowns in eye-catching prints, or a mini dress with an unforgettable train. His designs are all about ultra-feminine, silhouette-driven gowns, with a penchant for florals.

Jennifer Lopez, Amal Clooney, Rihanna, Queen Rania of Jordan, Ariana Grande, Kendall Jenner, Gwyneth Paltrow and Sofia Carson are amongst those who have worn his creations.

The highly-anticipated collection, featuring womenswear and menswear, was unveiled at a fashion show held on Thursday (Oct 24) at Rome's imposing Palazzo Doria Pamphilj.

One of the key pieces we are in love with is the asymmetric tulle Red Gown ($549) with a plunging V-line, a short skirt at the front and a long train at the back. We also went ga-ga over the floral-embroidered Black Gown ($449) which oozes Parisian chic. Another piece we love is the Sweetheart Dress ($399) which is a floral-appliquéd mini dress with a sweetheart neckline.

The looks were accessorised with embroidered fishnet tights or long white socks printed with hearts just below the knee. Footwear included sandals, lace-ups and short lace boots, while jewellery came as pearl necklaces and sparkling chokers.

For the menswear collection, it featured sparkling sequinned trouser suits, floral knits and tiger-print jackets and trousers. This is Giambattista Valli’s first foray into men’s clothing. Two pieces which caught our eye are the Tiger Blazer ($249) which sports a refreshing print from the fatigued leopard print, and the Floral Sheer Shirt ($109) which is inspired by the florals in the women’s collection.

Fashion lovers and fans can shop the Giambattista Valli x H&M collection as it launches on 7 November.

In Singapore, the collection will be available exclusively at H&M Orchard Building, H&M ION Orchard, as well as on hm.com. Prices range from $19.95 for a pair of socks to $549 for the Red Gown.
