Christmas lights have begun popping up in our little red dot – to celebrate the festive mood, Disney has lit up Orchard Road with characters from their Disney-Pixar and Disney movies we all love, like Mickey, Minnie Mouse to Ariel from The Little Mermaid. Taking cue of popular pop culture references, we are seeing malls decking trees with kawaii Japanese characters to building a larger than life pop-up Ferris Wheel structure. Scroll down to view more.
Disney and Disney-Pixar characters have lit up Orchard Road, which happens to be Disney’s biggest lighting event in Southeast Asia.
If you’re lucky, you may spot the adorable pair down Orchard Road.
Ariel from The Little Mermaid is featured as one of the many installations on Orchard Road.
So are Donald and Daisy Duck.
Themed To-Fu Oyako in Tomorrowland, Bugis Junction and Bugis + have partnered with ActionCity to create a photogenic 10-metre tall Christmas tree-shaped centrepiece.
Designed by Mr Shinichiro Kitai (the award-winning Art Director of DEVILROBOTS), this centerpiece invites everyone of all ages for a photo op.
Christmas Wonderland, returns with its fifth edition this year at Gardens by the Bay.
While we don’t have the luxury to experience cool winter days, visitors can experience outdoor skating under the stars.
It features a charming European-style festive market, with carnival games and kiddie rides.
There are also magical luminaire sculptures that transform the fairground into a stunning wonderland, so be sure to prep your DSLR.
ION Orchard collaborates with luxury brand Cartier to bring us a larger-than-life popup Ferris Wheel. Shoppers and visitors are invited to take a kaleidoscopic picture or fun Gifs with family and friends within the Cartier carriage booth at the base of the Ferris Wheel.
Alongside the Ferris wheel is an enchanting Christmas Park colourfully dressed with Christmas trees, lights and baubles for visitors to stroll through and capture some festive shots.
A descending Christmas tree hangs at the courtyard foyer of Plaza Singapura, giving passerbys an illusion of a floating tree effect.
The Great Christmas Village at Ngee Ann City features Singapore’s first duplex carousel, where you’ll get to fulfil your childhood dreams riding it.
Also at the courtyard, there is a Hitachi’s Santa House and Timbre X Food Village & Bar, where you can sip free flow of drinks and nibble some bites.
Mickey and his Tsum Tsum friends will decorate the tallest live Christmas tree in Flower Dome, at Gardens by the Bay. The exhibition entitled Poinsettia Wishes will run from2 Dec 2018 to 6 Jan 2019.
