13 must-try dishes at the new Japan Food Town

Japanese food lovers in Singapore now have more dishes to rave about after they head to the newly opened Japan Food Town at Wisma Atria.

Launched on 16 July, the food hall houses 16 food and beverage eateries from Japan, with 14 of them making their debut in Singapore.

Only 14 tenants have begun operations. The remaining ones will be ready by end of July.

According to Japan Food Town, the ingredients used by all restaurants are freshly shipped in from Okinawa, with some of them delivered daily.

The price of dishes range from as low as S$8 to more than S$100.

“Through this channel, Japan Food Town is able to introduce unique ingredients such as Matsuzaka Beef, Kinme-Rice, and Kindai Maguro to Singapore,” said the food establishment in a media release.

“I believe that through offering Singapore a truly authentic Japanese dining experience without those exorbitant prices, customers will appreciate a real sense of Japanese hospitality. We call this Omotenashi, where you will be warmly welcomed and respected,” said Makoto Yoshikawa, the managing director of Japan Food Town Development.
