This photo of Cardi B and Nicki Minaj at the 2018 Met Gala proves the internet cares more about their "feud" than they do

Cardi B and Nicki Minaj’s hotly debated “feud” says much more about us than the two female rappers themselves. In fact, at the 2018 Met Gala Monday night, May 7th, Cardi and Nicki posed for a selfie together alongside Moschino creative director Jeremy Scott and attendee @MusicisTerry. In the photo, Nicki is pursing her lips and Cardi is soft smiling for the camera — and there is no beef to speak of, real or imagined.

The Cardi-Nicki feud rumors swirled after Minaj didn’t appear in any shots with Cardi in Migos’ “MotorSport” video. In all honesty, Nicki likely couldn’t pose with Cardi because of scheduling, but fans quickly theorized that the two rap goddesses were sparring.

“The only thing with Cardi that really, really, really hurt my feelings was the first interview she did after ‘MotorSport’ came out,” Minaj told Beats1 in an interview. “I kinda felt ambushed. The first thing that came out of her mouth about a Nicki Minaj feature was ‘she changed the verse’… When it was time to clear the air about that, no one did that. All of them allowed me to look like I lied.”

False feuding allegations aside, it looks like the two musicians have put it all behind them and are embracing their glam selves — and each other. Oh, and Nicki took the opportunity to promote her new album last night, which comes out on June 15th. She revealed that it’s all-too-appropriately titled “Queen.”

@nickiminaj just announced her new album #Queen dropping on June 15th.

We’re loving seeing these two fierce ladies side-by-side — almost as much as we’re obsessed with their epic Met Gala lewks.
