  • Phoebe spoke about her worries concerning the next season of the Netflix original.

Beware, Bridgerton fans...reading this might stir up intense emotions if you’re like me and are already craving a second season of the Netflix original. After the Shonda Rhimes–developed series dropped on Christmas, it’s been a topic of conversation. The sex! The fashion! The accents! Obvs, fans are counting down the days until another season is released. Phoebe Dynevor, who plays main character Daphne, is already worried about how the COVID-19 pandemic will affect filming.

“I can’t imagine how it would be possible to film under these circumstances. There are so many extras and so many crew members, and it’s a very intimate show," she told Deadline. “It just baffles me how we would film it under COVID rules unless there was a vaccine beforehand.”

Despite Phoebe’s understandable hesitations, show producers have revealed that they plan to begin production in the UK in March. This is good news because I’m not sure fans I can handle waiting more than a year to find out what’s next for Phoebe and Simon. The final days of filming season one were “crazy,” Phoebe admitted, adding that they “just managed to finish.”

Fortunately, they did and have plenty of material to cover for season 2 since the entire series is based on books. Phoebe continued, “I genuinely have no idea what they’re going to do with the second season, but I imagine if they’re following the books, then it would be Anthony’s journey. I’m sure Daphne will end up getting involved. But yeah, I do wonder what it looks like. I’m excited to find out.”
