14 Nov – Philip Keung couldn't help but break into tears at the reception of his colleagues and industry friends over his recent win at the PROFIMA International Film Festival and Awards (PIFFA).
As reported on Singtao, the actor, who won his first ever award as Best Supporting Actor at the event held in Malaysia recently, was surprised when he was greeted by his many pals who came with a congratulatory banner at the airport.
"I really am grateful for the support and encouragement for me," said Philip, when asked for his thoughts on the surprise celebration.
The actor, who won the award for the Andy Lau movie, "Shock Wave", added, "This award is a good start. I am happy that everyone likes [the movie]. I also want to thank Mr. [Andy Lau], the director, and the studio for the opportunity."
During the small celebration, Philip's manager also presented him again with his award and celebrated the win with a champagne toast.
The PIFFA accolade is the first for Philip Keung, who hasn't won any acting award in his 32 years of acting career.
