Peter Ho gets Vivian Hsu to produce his new series
11 Mar – After the success of his directorial debut, "Age of Rebellion", Peter Ho is set to helm his sophomore project with the help of good friend Vivian Hsu.
As reported on Epoch Times, the actor-turned-director recently announced that the Taiwanese singer-actress will be producing his new television series, "Who's By Your Side", and expressed excitement over their first behind-the-scenes collaboration.
"To have her with me, maybe I will be fortunate enough to get a nomination for Best Drama at the Golden Bell Awards," he enthused.
As to why he chose to work with Vivian, Peter said that he knew that the actress has been interested in behind-the-scenes work in recent years.
As for Vivian, the actress stated that she had no reservations at all when Peter contacted her about producing the drama, saying that anybody would say yes to a Peter Ho project.
"But I won't deny that the biggest challenge for me this time would be to break away from the role of an actress and work as a producer," she added.
The upcoming drama, which is also written by Peter, will begin filming this month.
The two stars have been best friends for nearly 20 years after spending a lot of time together as lonely Taiwanese actors working and studying in Japan.
