Pete Davidson posted an alarming note to Instagram on Saturday before deleting his account. In it, the actor suggested that he maybe be having suicidal thoughts.

The post came on the heels of an earlier note in which he defended Kanye West in the wake of West's public feud with Davidson's ex-fiancé Ariana Grande. The disagreement was sparked earlier this week when Grande joked on Twitter about West's feud with Drake. Kanye responded to Grande, saying that the tension with Drake has been hard on his mental health:

Grande apologized and wished West well, but she followed up with a now-deleted tweet in which she said that people should "stop weaponizing mental health."

That tweet seems to be what provoked a response from Davidson, who's been outspoken about his own struggles with mental illness. "Bravo Kanye West for standing up for yourself and speaking out against mental health," wrote Davidson. "I can’t explain to you enough how difficult and scary it is to be honest about stuff like this. We need people like Kanye. No one should ever point fingers at you for your bravery in speaking about mental health. I’m seriously disgusted."

Davidson followed this minutes later with the note in which he expressed suicidal thoughts, then deleted his Instagram account.

Though his statement was worrying, actor Jon Cryer later announced via Twitter that he was able to verify that Davidson has been accounted for.
