People Are Upset That Meghan and Harry Announced Their Pregnancy on a Sensitive Day
After rumors swirled about Meghan Markle concealing her pregnancy with a new hairstyle and an overcoat at Princess Eugenie's October 12 wedding, early on Monday morning, Kensington Palace confirmed she and Prince Harry are indeed expecting a child: The mother-to-be is 12 weeks along.
Most of the world-including the Queen!- was elated by the newlyweds' news, but some pointed out that their timing might have been a little inconsiderate. October 15 was International Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day, which recognizes pregnancy loss and infant death due to causes like SIDS, miscarriage, and stillbirth. In the U.S., the month is designated as Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month.
A bit insensitive if you ask me. It's baby loss and bereavement day 😞

The news of the royal baby is wonderful but could @RoyalFamily not have waited fill tomorrow to announce, given that today of all days is International Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day, when grieving couples across the globe come together to mourn their lost babies?

Congratulations to all the new mums and dads who get no media attention who announced that they were expecting. I don't care to much for the announcement. Oh and by the way today is International pregnancy and infant loss remembrance day... My thoughts are with you. pic.twitter.com/udS3WTmKHP
