Picking your wedding dress is one of the most important decisions any bride will make.

Generally, we enter a bridal shop with a strict list of criteria: dress must have long-sleeves, dress must be formfitting, dress must be within budget…

Between all of our wild demands, brides rarely put practicality at the fore of their search.

That’s why so many people are loving one bride’s very simple, yet very useful addition to her wedding gown: pockets.

Twitter user Esther Kezia Thorpe, shared a photo from her friend’s wedding, writing very excitedly: “STOP EVERYTHING so one of my friends got married yesterday and she had POCKETS ON HER WEDDING DRESS which is just the best thing I have ever seen.”

As shown in the photo, the strapless gown – designed by Suzanne Neville – featured a large skirt with subtle pockets in the seams.

While hardly revolutionary, the response to the bride’s smart pockets was unforeseen, with the post quickly being retweeted and liked thousands of times.

Other brides even shared their own #weddingdresseswithpockets moments:

Is anyone else struggling to remember why wedding dresses ever didn’t have pockets? EVER?
