Darker shades took over the Hollywood red carpets for the second week of January.

A slew of stars donned all black at Sunday's Golden Globe Awards as a way of expressing solidarity for victims of sexual harassment and misconduct in Hollywood. The dark tone appeared to make its way to a handful of other events throughout the week -- a total 180 from last week's bright and vivid ensembles -- with A-listers opting for burgundy, navy and classic black.

Among the style standouts included Lupita Nyong'o, who slayed in a sparkling velvet two-piece. Sarah Jessica Parker served up a dose of daytime elegance while out in New York and Lea Michele brightened things up with a feminine all-white look.

ET has all the details on the best dressed celebrities that slayed the fashion game for the week of Jan. 8.

The 43-year-old actress was breathtaking at the Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story premiere in Hollywood on Jan. 8.

The brunette beauty arrived in a burgundy custom-made Stella McCartney velvet gown with lace-covered cut-outs at the waist and Louboutin heels. She added a touch of sparkle with drop-down Swarovski earrings along with an elegant updo.

ET caught up with the FX series leading lady at the Golden Globes, where she opened up about playing the legendary Donatella Versace.

"I called her and we spoke, like, for an hour. I needed that conversation to say yes," Cruz disclosed. "It was a conversation where, I cannot share everything we talked about, but we have a good relationship. She just sent me flowers before I came here."

Ricky Martin

The singer-actor, who recently tied the knot with Jwan Yosef, also dressed to impress at the same event. Martin looked debonair in a Giorgio Armani midnight blue micro-dot pattern evening jacket trimmed in grosgrain and formal evening trousers all worth $2,895, and a $895 white tuxedo shirt and black dress shoes. Though it was his matching navy printed scarf that perfected the "Livin' La Vida Loca" singer's overall ensemble.

At the premiere's red carpet, Martin opened up to ET about life at home with his 9-year-old twins.

"My kids turned nine and it's incredible how they've grown," he shared. "And they do love music and they also love martial arts. Something very special is happening. They've got their trophies. They went to their tournament already. It's really exciting. It is very beautiful to see."

The Venezuelan stud also looked quite handsome at the Versace premiere, donning a plum-colored Valentino suit, which he paired with a white dress shirt, a brown tie and $195 Vince Camuto "Tarby" dress oxfords.

The actor also sported a sleek Vacheron Constantin watch with a tan leather strap.

"We all feel the utmost respect for the Versace family," Ramirez, who portrays the slain fashion designer, told ET at the premiere. "We all tried to be as respectful and compassionate as possible walking into the show."

Lea Michele
