Paulo Avelino to join "Darna"?
13 Feb – Rumour has it that Paulo Avelino will be joining the cast of the upcoming superhero movie, "Darna".
As reported on Manila Bulletin, the rumour was first sparked by a showbiz blog site, which claimed that Avelino will be playing the leading man for Jane de Leon, who stars as the titular superhero character.
Fuelling the speculation further is the fact that the article was later shared online by Avelino's manager, who captioned it "#PauloAvelino joins #darna".
It is noted that Avelino has previously worked with Jerrold Tarog - who is helming the said film - in two of the director's biopics - "Heneral Luna" and "Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral", which means that it is likely for the director to cast the actor in the new movie.
If this is true, this marks the second casting for the said project, following announcement that de Leon has been brought in to replace Liza Soberano as Darna.
