Paulina Porizkova was once turned down for a modelling job because she hadn't had Botox or fillers.
The Czech-born Swedish supermodel was one of the most in-demand names in fashion in the '80s, after she made her debut on the cover of Swimsuit Illustrated Swimsuit Issue at the age of 17 and went on to work for labels like Chanel, Versace, and Hermes.
Paulina is candid about the ageing process on social media and regularly shares bare-faced snaps on Instagram to show what she really looks like, and following one of those posts, in which she stated she hadn't used Botox or fillers, she was dropped from a job.
"I did one of my, 'Look at me. This is my face without make-up' (posts). And I've never used Botox or fillers. And this job that I was up for went, 'Oh, well, we can't use you then,'" she told CBS This Morning.
When asked how she feels about getting work done, Paulina said she's not as judgemental about people who get those procedures anymore.
"I used to be kind of judgmental about it. I used to go, 'Oh, you know, I can't believe that anybody's injecting themselves and changing the way they look.' And now I think, 'No, you know what? It's really freaking hard to be a woman. And it's really freaking hard to be a woman over 50. Because we really get dismissed from the table," the 54-year-old explained. "We have, like, a weird period between, you're J-Lo (Jennifer Lopez) looking fabulous and then (98-year-old actress) Betty White. And there's kind of like a dead zone between the two. So, I'm trying to fill that dead zone!"
Elsewhere in the interview, Paulina admitted she doesn't "really love modelling" but she's grateful for what her career has afforded her.
