Paul Hanneman Empowerment Scholarship Fund Unveiled at Covenant House California

The homeless youth charity Covenant House California created a scholarship Thursday in honor of its chairman, Paul Hanneman, 20th Century Fox’s outgoing president of worldwide theatrical marketing and distribution.

Hanneman, who oversaw campaigns and strategies for hits including “Avatar,” Ice Age,” “The Revenant” and “Deadpool,” is a longtime supporter of the charity. It offers runaway youths safety, education, employment and better opportunities to become independent and self-sufficient adults.

The Paul Hanneman Empowerment Scholarship will be awarded each year to a Covenant House staffer who demonstrates the values embodied by Hanneman during his years with Covenant House and 20th Century Fox.

Among the other films he has worked on are “X-Men,” “Die Hard,” Titanic 3D,” “Prometheus,” “Night at the Museum,” “Planet of the Apes,” “The Martian,” “Kingsman,” and “Gone Girl.”
