27 Aug – Patrick Tam was ecstatic when he was cast in the movie, "Raging Fire" as it was his first time collaborating with Benny Chan.
He never expected that it would also be their last.
As reported on Mingpao, the actor who addressed the news of Benny's passing on social media recently, shared that he was heartbroken after finding out about the filmmaker's death - as Benny was a director that he had always admired and looked forward to working with in the past.
"I was honoured to accept the director's offer to film "Raging Fire" last year. I could still recall how much of a movie fan I felt when we first met because
I finally got the chance to meet a talented director who was both very good and a legend in filmmaking," he wrote.
Patrick stated that he would always remember the excitement of the first day, adding that he never thought that the film would also be a farewell.
"Thank you so much for contributing so many outstanding works to Hong Kong movies and for bringing endless beautiful memories to fans. I am also very grateful for the opportunity to cooperate this time and I will never forget your kindness. Learning from you was not a small thing for me. I will miss those days forever, may you rest in peace," he added.
