Rumors that the Canadian rapper's third album was in the works first arose in August, when frequent collaborator Drake told attendees of the OVO Fest that "new PND [was] on the way."

A few months after the announcement, PartyNextDoor took fans by surprise when he released a pair of new singles, "The News" and "Loyal."

To celebrate his return on the music scene after two years of relative absence, PartyNextDoor notably reconnected with OVO label boss Drake on "Loyal."

The pair had previously joined forces on a slew of singles, including PartyNextDoor's "Come and See Me" and "Recognize."

"The "Break From Toronto" vocalist was also the first artist that Drake signed to his own record label, OVO Sound, in 2013.

After delivering "The News" and "Loyal," the Canadian musician announced on Twitter that the long-awaited follow-up to his 2016 "PartyNextDoor 3" would arrive next January.

Details about the yet-untitled full-length are still scarce to this date, although PartyNextDoor teased in 2017 that the project will be "straight party & unapologetic."

Since the release of his sophomore studio album, the musician put out a couple of EPs, respectively entitled "Colours 2" and "Seven Days," in 2017.

More recently, he appeared on Summer Walker's "Just Might" and contributed to Jay Park's "Fade Away" as well as City Girls' "Trap Star."
