27 Aug – Paolo Santos recently denied that he said yes to an upcoming online concert launched for President Rodrigo Duterte.
As reported on ABS-CBN, the "Moonlight Over Paris" singer who was listed as one of the performers for the 30th August event, took to Facebook to clarify himself, saying that he just found out that his name made it to the list in a poster advertising the said show.
"I'd like to make it clear here that I am not participating in it and have nothing to do with it. I thank those who called my attention to it and showed concern. You can catch news of my future performances and schedule on this page," he pointed out.
Santos stated that the statement came to avoid any confusion, especially among friends and family.
"I thank those who called my attention to it and showed concern. You can catch news of my future performances and schedule on this page. Thanks everyone and stay safe!" he added.
Among other entertainers said to perform at the upcoming event titled "Singing for the President" include Freddie Aguilar, Tina Paner, Dulce, Mocha Uson, Njel de Mesa, and Arnell Ignacio.
