Paolo Ballesteros appears at TIFF as Angelina Jolie
27 Oct - While most stars would spend a lot of time thinking "what" would they wear at a film festival, Paolo Ballesteros decides "who" he would look like instead.
Thus, the make-up genius, who is known for his ability to impersonate celebrities through the use of cosmetics, chose to appear at the 29th Tokyo International Film Festival looking like Angelina Jolie.
The actor attracted attention as he appeared at the red carpet in an emerald green dress by Rau Uson-Ablaza to promote his movie, "Die Beautiful", accompanied by directors Jun Robles Lana and Perci Intalan.
The movie, helmed by the aforementioned directors, is among the 16 films competing at the prestigious event. It tells the story of how a transgender woman's wish to be dressed as a celebrity for her funeral sparks a fierce battle between her conservative Filipino-Chinese family and her well-meaning drag queen friends.
It also stars Inah de Belen, Iza Calzado, and Diana Zubiri.
