Pakho Chau missed kids' growth due to work

31 Jan – Pakho Chau recently admitted that he has missed a lot when it comes to his children's development, after spending most of his time working in mainland China last year.

As reported on Mingpao, the singer, who sat down for an interview recently, shared that he has been developing well in the north in the Year of the Tiger and hopes to continue in the Year of the Rabbit, but to the cost of not being there for his two kids.

"I sacrificed a lot for work. Due to the closing of the border previously, I was unable to reunite with the family for almost a year, not until the Lunar New Year," he said.

Pakho said that his son is now 17 months old, and that he has spent 12 of those months being away from him.

"My daughter is also three now. I wasn't with her on her second and third birthday. I have completely missed their growth. But I will not feel guilty for that. I really was working and making money to support my family," he said.

Pakho stated that he is thankful to his wife for taking care of the household while he was away.

Asked if he will add a new member to their small family this year, the singer said that he and his wife have reached a consensus to stop at two.

"We're worried that having another kid would make us neglectful to the two others. It's perfect now. Each one of us can hold one child. Two are enough, if you ask me," he added.
