Owen Cheung laughs off latest rumours with Nancy Wu

14 Aug – TVB actor Owen Cheung recently expressed amusement at why the tabloids are so keen about romantically linking him to his "Justice Pao: The First Year" co-star Nancy Wu.

According to Mingpao, despite both parties already denying rumours of romance between them, tabloids recently reported that the relationship is entering the next stage - with parents of both stars meeting each other when they visited Nancy and Owen working in Hengdian and Xinjiang.

Sources claimed that Owen won Nancy's heart with his sense of humour and that fellow actor Brian Tse was supposedly the matchmaker.

Speaking about the latest rumour concerning him and Nancy, Owen said that he, Nancy, as well as fellow co-stars Elaine Yiu and Brian Tse are more or less like brothers and sisters.

The actor admitted that both his parents and Nancy's did come to Hengdian to visit them, but pointed out that they didn't come at the same time.

"It wasn't like it was just us two having meals with them. There were a large group of people eating together," he said.

Owen acknowledged the fact that Nancy is a good person and a loyal friend, but that for now, they are only friends.

"I just want to focus on my work for now," he said.

When asked if he is worried that the rumours are hurting his chances at pursuing relationship with other women, Owen responded, "Be good at your career first, no time to think about other things."
