Owen Cheung is happy that one of his dramas will finally air

19 Jul – Owen Cheung could now breathe a sigh of relief as at least one of his dramas will soon air on television.

As reported on Mingpao, the actor, who has been called the Bad Luck King after having a string of his 2019 series shelved by TVB, said that he is happy that his new drama "Justice Pao: The First Year" will premiere this 22 July.

"I am proud of that moniker," he said jokingly of the title. "It is the title of Nick Cheung's movie."

It is noted that his series, "The Offliners", were shelved despite scheduled for May broadcast due to co-star Jacqueline Wong's scandal with singer Andy Hui. Another one of their collaboration, "Finding Her Voice", is also currently in a limbo after its producer announced that they will not do a re-shoot.

His other drama, "Airport Strikers", postponed its airing due to the recent tension between the police and anti-extradition bill protesters.

As for his character in the new drama, Owen revealed that he plays the role of Zhan Zhao, a righteous knight-errant who assists Justice Pao in upholding justice.
