Renée Zellweger has been named Best Actress at the 92nd Academy Awards in Hollywood for her role as Judy Garland in Judy. It’s the actor’s second Oscar win from four nominations.

She won over fellow nominees Cynthia Erivo (Harriet), Scarlett Johansson (Marriage Story), Saoirse Ronan (Little Women), and Charlize Theron (Bombshell) and was presented the Oscar by Rami Malek.

Collecting her prize, Zellweger said: "When we celebrate our heroes, we're reminded of who we are as one people, united, and although Judy Garland did not receive this honour in our time, I'm certain this moment is an extension of her legacy that began on a film set.
