Wednesday, February 22

Vanity Fair and Barneys New York Dinner Celebrating La La Land
Location: Chateau Marmont
Details: Vanity Fair, Barneys New York and Lionsgate host an intimate dinner at the Chateau Marmont to benefit the American Civil Liberties Union, to celebrate the success of the $300M record-breaking film La La Land.

6 PM: Global Green USA’s Annual Pre-Oscar Party

Details: This year’s event honors the concerned citizens to Stand with Standing Rock and celebrates their heroic leadership of Standing Rock Sioux Tribal Council Chairman David Archambault II, and other environmental leaders working to protect the people, places and planet in need. 6PM: Nuit de Champagne

Details: Christophe Lemoine, Consul General of France in Los Angeles, Anne-Laure Tuncer, Director of Atout France US and Christine Noiret-Richet of Champagne Tourism as well as Sandrine and Rod Kukurudz, Alfredo Gangotena of Nuit du Champagne host this French affair which celebrates cinema.

7PM: Oscar’s Sistahs Soiree

Details: Alfre Woodard hosts her 8th annual pre-Oscars celebration. Attendees include Oscar nominees Ruth Negga, Viola Davis, Octavia Spencer and Naomie Harris along with Edwina Findley and Aja Naomi King.

7-9PM: Los Angeles Confidential Magazine Pre-Oscar Party

Details: They’re celebrating their Oscar issue with cover star Janelle Monae from Hidden Figures and Moonlight.

7:30 PM: Oscar Week – Documentaries
Location: Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills
Details: Clips and onstage discussions with the filmmakers behind this year’s Oscar-nominated feature and short docs. Hosted by Kate Amend, editor of The Case Against 8 and Rory Kennedy, the director-producer of the Oscar-nominated 2015 title Last Days in Vietnam.

7:30PM: OK! Magazine Pre-Oscar Party
Location: Nightingale Plaza, 643 N. La Cienega Blvd.
Details: DJ Chelsea Leyland will preside. Activations at the event include SATIN hair color who will be doing a double vanity, Le Vian will be showcasing their chocolate diamonds in plinth cases, Sexy Hair will be sampling their hair products, Hydroxycut will be showcasing their products with brand ambassadors, Toffifay will have male models handing out their product throughout the party, Ruffino wine will be poured. Coolhaus will also be providing cook treats.

Russell Simmons’ All Def Movie Awards
Location: Belasco Theatre, 1050 Hill St., LA
Details: Second-annual event lauding African Americans in film. Black carpet arrivals start at 7 PM. The ADMAs will honor industry legend Ice Cube with a Lifetime Achievement Award and recognize entertainer and political activist Amber Rose with the Vanguard Award for her work on social justice projects like the SlutWalk, a transnational movement of protest marches calling for an end to rape culture. Details: Hosted by Inside Out Oscar winners Pete Doctor and Jonas Rivera, the evening will highlight clips from this year’s animation nominees as well as chats with their creators.

7:30PM: 12th Annual Final Draft Awards

Details: 2017 Hall of Fame Award inductee Robert McKee will be present along with additional attendees Brian Cox, Quincy Jones, Allen Maldonado, Margaret Nagle, Steven Pressfield, Thomas Lennon and Robert Ben Garant, Alexis Perkins, Rowan Wheeler, Final Draft president Scott McMenamin and CEO of Cast & Crew Eric Belcher.

8-11 PM: Cadillac Celebrates the 89th Annual Academy Awards

Details: Cadillac is a sponsor of this year’s Oscars. Tony Schubert of Event Eleven is designing and producing the event. Details: DreamWorks Media Chairman Jeffrey Katzenberg will receive The Lifetime Achievement Award, Denzel Washington is the Motion Picture Showman of the Year, Ryan Murphy will be lauded as Television Showman of the Year, and the President’s Award goes to BWR co-founder Nanci Ryder. Lunch is at 12, awards at 12:30pm.

3-5 PM: United Voices Rally
Location: Outside UTA Headquarters, 9336 Civic Center Drive, Beverly Hills, CA
Details: In lieu of its annual Oscar party, United Talent Agency is hosting a rally outside its L.A. headquarters. The gathering – “United Voices” – aims to express the creative community’s growing concern with anti-immigrant sentiment in the United States and its potential chilling effect on the global exchange of ideas and freedom of expression. UTA is donating $250K to the American Civil Liberties Union and the International Rescue Committee. UTA’s client Oscar-winning Iranian filmmaker Asghar Farhadi, who is nominated again in the foreign language film category with The Salesman, has announced he will forgo the trip to the U.S. for the ceremony due to the proposed U.S. travel ban upon seven predominantly Muslim countries.

Vanity Fair and Genesis Party To Celebrate Hidden Figures

Details:Vanity Fair and luxury car company, Genesis, will host an exclusive party to celebrate Fox’s three-time Oscar winner.

5-8 PM: British Consul General Chris O’Connor Hosts Film Is Great Reception
Location: Fig & Olive, 8490 Melrose Pl., West Hollywood
Details: The British Consul General hosts a soiree that celebrates the British nominees at the 89th Oscars and the U.K.’s great contribution to the film industry. chef Gordon Ramsay OBE provides the special menu. British Airways is the evening’s partner with cocktails provided by Berry Bros Rudd and Ridgeview Wines.

6-9 PM: 10th Annual Women in Film (WIF) Pre-Oscar Cocktail Party

4 PM:The Elton John AIDS Foundation’s 24th Annual Oscar Viewing Party

Details: St. Paul & the Broken Bones will perform at this year’s gala which is sponsored by BVLGARI, Neuro Drinks and Diana Jenkins. John’s soiree is the largest fundraising event in Hollywood on Oscar night, raising north of $56M to support the Foundation’s mission to achieve an AIDS-free generation. Details: FYI, Piper will be the only champagne poured at the Academy Awards and the Governors Ball for the third year running and this is their official viewing party.

5 PM: IMDb Live Viewing Party
Location: Neuehouse (formerly the historic CBS Radio Studio).
Details: Presented by OREO Chocolate Candy Bar. It’s a live companion show to the Oscars, hosted by Dave Karger (IMDb Special Correspondent) and Rachel Smith (co-host of Amazon’s Style Code Live) and streamed live on IMDB, Twitter and Twitch.

5:30 PM: The 89th Academy Awards

…While you’re waiting at the Oscars: Rolex, one of the ceremony’s sponsors has the second-annual Oscars Greenroom. Last year, the Rolex Interior Design team in Geneva transformed the backstage Greenroom space with the look and feel of a late 20th-century private home in the Hollywood Hills, spanning Rolex in the history of film. The Greenroom prominently featured a gallery of legendary screen stars, each wearing an emblematic Rolex watch. This year’s Greenroom will have a new design/concept.

Details: This year’s theme is “magical transformation” with guests entering into a tricolor motif of gold and red on an infinite blanket of white.
