Oreo’s New Olympic Cookies Have Three Layers of Creme That Are Mixed With Popping Candy
Is summertime really on the horizon if Nabisco doesn’t release a new Oreo? In addition to the comeback of the s’mores cookies, we’re gearing up our taste buds for the new Team USA Oreos that are equal parts festive and fun to eat.
This certainly isn’t Oreo’s first patriotic cookie. In 2017, there were Firework Oreos, followed by Team USA Oreos in 2018, and red, white, and blue creme cookies in 2020. The new cookies that we’re getting for summer 2021 combine all three of them to make a bite worthy of the 4th f July! Hey, they are the Official Cookie and Cracker sponsor of Team USA at the Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020, after all.
The Team USA Oreo Cookies feature Team USA emblems and three layers of red, white, and blue creme. To add that extra spark, there is popping candy layered with the creme, so it will be like a firework show in your mouth. For a limited time beginning on June 14, you can expect to find them wherever Nabisco products are sold, which means you’ll have them in time to watch the Games.

After a year largely spent apart, we are proud to be a part of this shared moment, rallying friends and families across the nation to celebrate, snack and cheer on Team USA together — even if only virtually,” Rachel Lawson, associate director scale consumer and retail engagement, Mondelēz International, said in a press release. “We’re excited to partner with Simone Biles, Tom Schaar and Melissa Stockwell, all of whom embody our ‘Snack Together. Win Together’ mindset.”
In addition to the Oreos, Nabisco is making sure its other brands are on theme as well. Chips Ahoy!’s Team USA cookies have returned to add red, white, and blue candy chips to your chocolate chip cookies and Ritz has debuted themed packaging for a Olympic-worthy touch. There’s something about a festive treat that we just can’t get enough of, you know?
