You have a salad for dinner, and you walk round with an etherial glow for approximately the next twelve hours because of how virtuous and pure you feel. So sorry to piss on your parade, but one dietitian has just pointed out in the most effective way how, sometimes, calorie content can run away with itself - even in the most seemingly healthy of meals.

Australian dietitian Paula Norris posted a picture of two apparently identical (and pretty delicious looking) salads on her Instagram recently. One, she noted, contained 535 calories. The other had 995. So how could there be such a dramatic difference in what looks like pretty much the same plate of food?
