‘One Piece’ and Puma Made Four Suede Sneakers Inspired by the Four Emperors

Five years after their last collaboration, and a year after the debut of the newest anime series, “One Piece” and Puma are teaming up for a four-pack of sneakers taking after the franchise’s four emperors.

A dedicated colorway of the Suede has been made for each of Blackbeard, Shanks, Luffy and Buggy. The Formstrip even gets its shape altered on the pairs for Luffy and Buggy, taking on the appearance of the former’s hair when he’s in Fifth Gear and the latter’s blue shag.

Blackbeard’s Suede appears predominantly in black to match is coat, while the Formstrip is outlined in gold, his three headed Jolly Roger appears on the tongue tag and cloud patches near the heel. The sneaker for Shanks appears in burgundy with turquoise outlining a silver Formstrip, claw marks on the heel, red rope laces and a Jolly Roger debossed on the tongue.

In addition to the cloud-like Formstrip, Luffy’s also features his Fifth Gear symbol on the tongue, faux cracks and a variety of textures throughout. Buggy’s blue hair-inspired Formstrip sits atop an otherwise bright red upper featuring a debossed clown Jolly Roger on the tongue and a candy-striped insole.

An accompanying apparel and accessory collection includes a tracksuit, T-shirts, hoodies, backpack and bucket hat.

The “One Piece” x Puma Suede collection is scheduled to release March 23 through Puma’s website and flagship stores, as well as select third-party-retailers. Pricing is set at $85 for each sneaker.
