SINGAPORE — To celebrate the re-opening of BOSS’s official flagship store last Wednesday (4 September) at Takashimaya, Olympian swimmer Joseph Schooling made a starring appearance.
Joseph is featured in the BOSS Fall/Winter 2019 campaign and his portraits were shot by renowned Hollywood photographer, Timothy White, who’s shot Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts, Harrison Ford, and Yoko One for publications like Esquire, Vanity Fair and Rolling Stone.
In a fireside chat with Joseph, he revealed that he had to do a lot of interesting flips and jumps while being photographed for the campaign shots. Nevertheless, he’s proud to have worked with Timothy. He also gave us a peep into his duffel bag, which contained two books gifted by his father: Conquer The Pool by Olivier Poirier-Leroy and The 100-Year Life – Living and Working in an Age of Longevity by Lynda Gratton and Andrew Scott. Right after the chat, Joseph gamely accepted a VR surfing challenge and presented prizes to the top three highest scorers of the night.
The newly renovated BOSS retail space covers 409 square meters, with inviting warm wood materials and granite flooring. The store carries the latest Fall/Winter 2019 BOSS Mens and Womenswear collections including shoes and accessories.
From 6 to 8 September, 2pm till 5pm, the store will be adorned with gastronomical creations by renowned Singaporean celebrity chef, Janice Wong. Each day, delicacies inspired by one of three fashion destinations – Milan, Shanghai and New York – will be featured. Shoppers can also try their hand at the VR surfing challenge, with $50 BOSS vouchers up for grabs.
