See Olaf Meet AT-AT in New 'Star Wars'-Themed 'Disney Infinity' Trailer

Who knew AT-ATs liked warm hugs?

Promising an epic mashup of the Disney Universe, the Mouse House today officially confirmed its next version of the hugely popular Disney Infinity toy/video game system will be Force-flavored.

Disney Infinity 3.0 will feature three different Star Wars modules. Twilight of the Republic, based on Episodes I-III, features Yoda, Darth Maul, Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Ahsoka Tano as playable characters. Rise Against the Empire covers Episodes IV-VI and stars Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia Organa, Han Solo, Chewbacca, and Darth Vader piloting vehicles like the Millennium Falcon and X-wings fighters and navigating through missions on Tatooine, Hoth, and Endor. Both those sets will be available in the fall.

The third, based on The Force Awakens, will arrive in time for the holidays.

Part of the appeal of the Disney Infinity system is the chance to cross worlds. The 3.0 edition will allow the intermingling of Star Wars, Marvel, Pixar, and Disney characters. Which means, as seen in the trailer above, Buzz Lightyear is no longer the only space hero in the toy box. And Olaf is willing to befriend anything, including ginormous Imperial killing machines.

The starter set, featuring Anakin and Ahsoka figures and playable on major game systems, will retail for $65. Other new figures announced Tuesday include the aforementioned Olaf, Hulkbuster Iron Man and Ultron, Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Mulan, Tron: Legacy’s Sam Flynn and Quorra, and a set based on Pixar’s latest, Inside Out.
