This weekend, TMZ broke the utterly heartbreaking news that Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson had called off their engagement. For some, it was nearly impossible to believe the relationship that produced a million horny Instagrams and inspired an entire internet meme about having a big dick could be over.

That's why I don't really think it is. I think this entire breakup is a farce. An internet distraction.

Here, I present every possible reason I call bullshit on the idea that Ariana and Pete are broken up for good. Please, follow me on this journey.

In the initial news, TMZ said there might be hope for the future.

When the story broke, TMZ reported that they ended their relationship *and* they called off their engagement, but at the very end of the article it said that there was a possibility this could change in the future.

"Our source says while things may be done for the couple for now, the two aren't ruling out the possibility of anything in the future," the outlet wrote.

Over on People.com, they went with the headline "Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson End Engagement: 'It Was Way Too Much Too Soon,' Says Source," and in the article they used the word split multiple times, but their phrasing almost makes it seem like while the couple is no longer engaged, they might still kind of be together, you know?

They were seen in public together this weekend.

As part of the cast Saturday Night Live, Pete has to be in one specific place every Saturday, and this weekend, one night before the breakup news broke, Ariana was there. Multiple sources saw her.

Here's my question: Why else would you go to your fiancé's live SNL taping if you were about to break up... unless you weren't *actually* about to break up? Like, I'd be at home in my pajamas downing a bottle of red, not watching my man try to make jokes in front of an audience. IDK. Seems suspicious.

Frankie Grande indirectly said everything's going to be fine.

Ariana's brother Frankie is currently in Iceland living his best life, and he Instagrammed this picture of an ice tunnel today, which seems fairly irrelevant. But! The caption is "not to spoil the ending for you but everything’s gonna be ok. 😉👌" and he posted that exactly twelve hours after the Ariana/Pete news broke.

I mean... a winky face? What the hell is that supposed to mean?

Ariana's been going about her business today.

Most of the time when it comes to a celebrity breakup, the people in question take one of two paths: they either address it openly on social media or they adopt the "radio silence" policy.

But weirdly, today Ariana seemed to be doing her normal thing, and even promoting an upcoming Wicked musical special on NBC.

Based on her social, she's not denying the breakup, but she's also not addressing it, which is... fishy. (Right? No really, I’m asking.)

In conclusion...

Ariana and Pete have had a brutal few months. She's been coping with the passing of ex Mac Miller, and he's been adjusting to sudden mega-fame (side effects include getting death threats). My opinion? They’ll be back together in three months. Maybe. I mean, love conquers all, right?? THEY REALLY LOVE EACH OTHER, OK? It’s fine. I’m fine.
