Ogie Alcasid joins "Home Sweetie Home" family
16 Mar – Another actor is joining the "Home Sweetie Home" family, as it was revealed that Ogie Alcasid will be playing two roles in the long-running sitcom.
As reported on ABS-CBN, the singer-comedian will portray twins Ireneo and Irenea - one a former childhood friend of Toni Gonzaga's character Julie who is interested to collaborate with her on opening a pastry shop, while the other is not keen about the project.
The character Irenea will also fall head over heels for JP, who is still recuperating from a failed romance.
According to the producers, the show will focus on Julie's attempt to save raise money for the family while also help distract JP from his heartbreak.
Prior to Alcasid, the show added Piolo Pascual as the aforementioned character JP - a decision made after its lead star John Lloyd Cruz decided to take an indefinite leave from showbiz.
