Nutella Has Changed Its Recipe And Fans Are Outraged

Nutella has long been a much-loved breakfast product, but it appears that fans of the chocolate and hazelnut spread don't like change.

The brand has sparked outrange amongst its cult following after it quietly made a change to the recipe, according to multiple reports.

On Monday, a German consumer group announced that the quantities of powdered skimmed milk in Nutella had increased from 7.5% to 8.7%, while the sugar content rose from 55.9% to 56.3%.

Manufacturer Ferrero has reportedly confirmed the 'adjustment' and has assured fans that the quality of the product will remain the same.

However, it's believed that the tweak to the formula could make the spread that bit sweeter, as well as lighter in colour. And as no one likes his or her foodie treats to be messed with, this hasn't gone down well on Twitter.
