"Number 1" team begins quarantine for Golden Horse Awards

2 Nov – While the upcoming Golden Horse Awards is still 19 days away, Singapore actor Mark Lee and his team are already on their way to Taiwan to prepare themselves for the upcoming event.

The actor, director Ong Kuo Sin, as well as several other members of the movie, "Number 1" were recently seen at the Changi Airport Terminal 3 awaiting for their flight to Taipei to undergo the required 14-day quarantine before their appearances, and were proudly showing off the poster of their upcoming movie.

Ong wrote on Instagram, "Thank you for sending us off at the airport today. Very touched by all your presence!"

On the other hand, fellow actor Jaspers Lai also shared another photo of them arriving in Taiwan, writing, "We will shine in Taipei with your love! Without you, there is no "Number 1". Thank you."

It is noted that Mark has been nominated in the Best Actor category for his performance in the movie, making it his very first nomination at the said award. He will be facing competition from Liu Kuan-ting ("My Missing Valentine"), Austin Lin ("I WeirDo"), Mo Tzu-yi ("Dear Tenant") and Hong Kong actor Gordon Lam ("Hand Rolled Cigarette").

Aside from the actor, the movie was also nominated in the Makeup & Costume Design category for Azni Samdin and Raymond Kuek.

The 57th Golden Horse Awards will be held on 21 November.
