Nora Ariffin to pay tribute to Johan Nawawi during concert

18 Sep - Although she is elated to finally hold her own concert, Datuk Nora Ariffin admitted that she still felt like there is a hole in her otherwise perfect upcoming show with the absence of her late husband, Johan Nawawi.

Nora, who spoke about the late musician, stated that she couldn't help but feel saddened every time she rehearsed songs composed by Johan, as it reminded her of their music journey together.

"It's not complete without him, but I know if he is still here, he would be happy for me for finally realising my dream of holding a concert," she said.

Nora also revealed that she will also dedicate a special segment as a tribute to Johan as a way to express her appreciation of him.

"I know that whenever people talk about my songs, they will say that there would be no Nora without Johan. Although he is no longer here, his friends and the children we have are always there with me," she added.

The upcoming concert, "Hanya Satu: Nora Ariffin" will celebrate Nora's 30 years in music and will be held on 18 December at Stage 1 Theatre at PJ Pac.
