No, Malia Obama Did Not Make Her Runway Debut at Yeezy Season 4

UPDATE: Turns out the mystery Malia Obama lookalike model is actually Alanna Arrington of Mother Model Management and Next Models Worldwide. She rocked the runway and threw a lot of people off. A win in our book!

Malia Obama is Harvard-bound and throwing expert shade, but one thing she’s not doing (at least not yet)? Modeling. Though yesterday’s Yeezy Season 4 show fooled a few people on the Internet. Folks thought that one of the models bore a striking resemblance to the president’s daughter, sparking quite a few tweets from confused viewers.

Of course, Malia is way too busy enjoying her gap year and her last few months as one of two first daughters to be involved in Kanye’s fashion pursuits. Turns out it wasn’t the elder Obama sister at all on Yeezy’s runway. People are speculating that the model in question is actually Jasmine Sanders, who is signed to the Society Management and has been spending lots of quality time with the Kardashian-Jenner crew.

Sanders posed in a few Instagram snaps on vacation with Kim Kardashian two weeks ago, and was featured in Kylie Jenner’s lip-gloss campaign. It still hasn’t been confirmed whether the model is actually Sanders, but we know for sure it ain’t Malia Obama.

And although some were fooled, there were others on the Net who figured Malia would never attend Yeezy’s Fashion Week presentation — at least not while her daddy’s in the White House, and certainly not in the conditions the models were working in yesterday.

Though, as one tweeter summed it up, it would have been really cool if she had.
