Nike launches Nike Training Club Collections to add focus to your workout

Nike has added a new feature to its Nike Training Club (NTC) app, introducing NTC Collections to focus your workout on specific goals.

After listening to feedback from NTC members, Nike put together users' most important fitness goals and designed a collection of workouts to tackle each.

With abs workouts being high up on the list for many users, Nike have made working on the core a priority and one of the first Collections to be released. Get Leaner, Stronger Abs is an eight-workout collection with four equipment-free routines to make them accessible to all users. Workouts last just 15 to 30 minutes and take users through a series of strengthening and conditioning exercises that focus specifically on this body part.

In addition to building abs, many also wanted to learn how to build more lean muscle, but were unsure where to start with a strength training program. The Get Strong to Get Toned Collection provides users with six 15- to 29-minute workouts, with four equipment-free options that use bodyweight movements such as push-ups, squats and lunges, or plyometric exercises, such as burpees and split jumps. Two gym-based routines take your workout further by adding in weighted movements using equipment such as kettlebells and dumbbells.

If you're a true novice then start with the Learn The Basics Collection to get to grips with the fundamentals and build up your endurance and stability. Users can try out different workouts that introduce yoga, mobility and strength exercises to get started with a well-rounded program before focusing in on fitness goals.

Nike also designed the Collections to be adapted to each user's level and lifestyle, with the shortest workout just 15 minutes long to fit into even the busiest of days, and with levels ranging from beginner to advanced. There are also options to adapt your workout, such as replacing a low weight with a higher one, or increasing or decreasing your reps and speed.

Users can also combine Collections for maximum results, for example a strength workout one day, and abs workout another, or both in one day if you want to push yourself further, and each Collection features expert advice on nutrition, recovery, sleep and mindfulness to help you achieve that Collection's particular goal.  

The Get Leaner, Stronger Abs, Get Strong to Get Toned and Learn the Basics Collections are available now for NTC users (with the 5.9 version of the app) globally on both iOS and Android. New Collections will continue to roll out in the future, beginning with two more this summer.
