Nick Jonas eyes board game movie

30 Jul – Another actor is ready to roll the dice for the upcoming "Jumanji" remake. Nick Jonas is reportedly in early talks to board the project alongside Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

Currently, the only confirmed cast member is Johnson, according to The Hollywood Reporter, while Jonas is still in negotiations.

Johnson's "Central Intelligence" co-star, Kevin Hart, has been rumoured to be joining as well, though Hart has yet to confirm whether he will be game for it.

It is not known which role Jonas will be taking on in the remake of the 1995 fantasy adventure movie – which starred the late Robin Williams – set to be helmed by director Jake Kasdan ("Bad Teacher").

Jonas, well-known as one-third of the pop rock band Jonas Brothers, has had experience acting in Disney Channel original movies and TV series.

He later graduated to heavier materials, starring in critically-acclaimed drama film, "Goat", which premiered at this year's Sundance Film Festival and is slated for release in North America this 23 September.

He also landed the lead role in "Careful What You Wish For", the erotic thriller movie that received limited release in several markets last year and was released in North America last month.

Jonas also starred in the first season of TV show, "Scream Queens", and is set to reprise his role as Nate in the third season of MMA drama, "Kingdom".

The "Jumanji" remake is rolling onto the big screen on 27 July 2017.
