Nick Cheung to direct his third movie next year

4 Dec - With the success of his directorial debut, "Hungry Ghost Ritual", and his sophomore effort, "Keeper of Darkness", Nick Cheung revealed that he is set to direct his third movie soon.

As reported on Mingpao, the actor-turned-director, who appeared at a brand event recently, stated that he's planning to begin directing his latest film in January next year.

However, Nick stated that he will be filming a cop-and-robber film this time around, rather than another horror film.

"The budget will be higher than "Keeper of Darkness". Since it will be a co-production, a lot of people are willing to invest in it," said Nick.

The actor will also be writing the script this time, so that he will be able to effectively direct the movie.

"The movie will be filming around Shanghai and Japan. The story is supposed to be set in the summer, but we'll have to film in the cold January," he joked.

When asked if he would be using his friendship card to get top stars to work for him cheaper, Nick stated that the most important thing is to find actors who are suitable with the roles.
