Nicholas Tse is looking for new culinary talents
29 Jun - It was reported that Nicholas Tse is changing the format of the new season of his "Chef Nic" show.
As reported on Mingpao, the actor recently announced that instead of going on a food-related journey on his own like he did before, the new season will feature new culinary talents that will fight for the ultimate status as the best chef.
Reportedly, the show will begin accepting applications in mid-August, with eight of them to be shortlisted as part of the kitchen team who will follow Nic as he tours around the world and learns from top chefs.
The show will also hold an elimination round every week, and the one who stood his or her ground to the last episode will be crowned champion and will receive RMB 1 million in prize money that will, hopefully, be used to start his or her own restaurant.
The actor also revealed that the participants don't necessarily have to be a professional chef or work in the food industry, and that as long as he or she is talented in cooking and has a dream of owning one's own restaurant, one can apply for the competition.
