Yeon Jung Hoon Cast In Jackie Chan’s New Film


[by Sora Ghim] Actor Yeon Jung Hoon has been cast for the new movie ‘Skiptrace’ under director Renny Harlin who directed ‘Die Hard 2,’ ‘Cliffhanger,’ ‘The Long Kiss Goodnight’ and other action movies. ‘Skiptrace’ is a story thought of by Jackie Chan for an action comedy. Yeon Jung Hoon has gotten the part of Willy, the right-hand man of the antagonist.

He is preparing and practicing the English script, getting into character and becoming another Asian star who is entering Hollywood. Yeon Jung Hoon has stopped any schedules to focus on this movie, flying to Beijing on October 9 to start filming. He plans to remain in China until mid-December until filming is completed.

‘Skiptrace’ is about a Hong Kong detective who is tracking down an American gambler, but the two team up to fight against a notorious Chinese criminal. Jackie Chan plays the lead and Johnny Knoxville will play the role of the American gambler. Actress Fan Bingbing from ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ is also cast as Jackie Chan’s nice.

Yeon Jung Hoon is said to have beat many competing actors for the role, personally handpicked by director Renny Harlin himself through just a video audition.
